COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — For the fourth time in his career, Fort Lewis College men's basketball player DeAndre Lansdowne received All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference recognition — this time as a first team selection — RMAC Assistant Commissioner Eric Danner announced today.

Additionally, Matt Morris was named to the All-RMAC second team and David Kanyinda and Daniel Steffensen earned All-RMAC third team honors.

Lansdowne, a 6-foot-2 senior guard from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, N.M., was one of four players to be unanimously chosen to the All-RMAC first team. He was also named to the All-RMAC first team as a junior, to the All-RMAC West Division first team as a sophomore and as RMAC Freshman of the Year in 2008-09.

During his storied career, Lansdowne has also earned first team Daktronics All-Central Region and second team NABC All-Central Region honors in 2009-10, was preseason RMAC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year this season, a preseason All-RMAC pick three times and was a three-time RMAC Player of the Week.

Lansdowne ranks among RMAC leaders in steals (third, 2.0 per game), scoring (seventh, 15.3 points per game) and three-point shooting (eighth, .388).

He is FLC's career leader in scoring (1,784 points), field goals (652) and free throws (381), while ranking among the school's all-time leaders in steals (second, 196), blocked shots (seventh, 51), rebounds (ninth, 544), assists (13th, 247) and three-pointers (17th, 99).

Morris, a 6-foot-6 junior from Durango High School, received All-RMAC recognition for the second year in a row. The 2010-11 RMAC men's basketball Academic Player of the Year, he is a two-time member of the RMAC All-Academic first team, a 2010-11 Capitol One District 7 All-Academic second team choice, a two-time D2 Athletic Directors Association/WeatherPORT Academic Achievement Award recipient and a member of the RMAC West Division second team a year ago.

Morris ranks among RMAC leaders in field goal shooting (sixth, .549), offensive rebounds (seventh, 2.4 per game), rebounding (12th, 5.3 per game) and scoring (27th, 11.3 points per game).

He ranks 20th in school history with 27 blocked shots during his FLC career.

Kanyinda, a 6-foot-1 senior guard from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, N.M., earned All-RMAC distinction for the first time in his career, although he a was named to the preseason All-RMAC first team earlier this year. He is also a two-time RMAC Player of the Week during his two-year Skyhawk career.

Kanyinda ranks among RMAC leaders in three-point shooting (second, .445), three-pointers (second, 2.4 per game) and scoring (17th, 13.2 points per game). He also ranks fourth in NCAA Division II in three-point shooting.

He ranks 11th in school history with 132 three-pointers during his Skyhawk career.

Steffensen, a 6-foot-4 senior forward from Rio Rancho (N.M.) High School, earned All-RMAC honors for the first time in his career.

He ranks among RMAC leaders in three-pointers (fifth, 2.1 per game), assists (13th, 3.0 per game), free throw shooting (11th, .780), three-point shooting (15th, .376), defensive rebounds (15th, 3.7 per game) and scoring (25th, 11.4 points per game).

Steffensen ranks 14th in school history with 109 three-pointers during his FLC career.

The third-seeded Skyhawks (20-7) travel to Pueblo, where they'll compete in the RMAC Shootout semifinals against second-seeded Metro State (21-6) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Colorado State Fairgrounds Events Center. The RMAC men's basketball championship game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday at the same location.
