February 5, 2010. Indianapolis, IN. - The NCAA Division II Basketball Committee released the newest top ten regional rankings yesterday making this the second week with both the Fort Lewis Men's and Women's team staying in the top ten.  Women's basketball remained in the #1 spot for the second week in a row with a overall record of 18-2 and a regional record of 17-2.  With few changes on the women's side, three other RMAC schools along Fort Lewis kept their spots in the regional rankings.  Adams St. remains closest to Fort Lewis coming in at the #3 spot while Colorado Mines stayed at the #8 spot and Colorado St.- Pueblo remains at the #10 spot.  The other six school remaining come from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).  Below is the Women's Central Regional Ranking which will be released every Wednesday until March 3rd.

Women's Basketball

In a 63-37 road win Friday night at Mesa State, Mackey posted 14 points on 5 of 8 field goal shooting (4 of 6 from long range) and six rebounds and two assists. The next night in a seven point win at Western State, she tallied 20 points, three rebounds and two assists while netting 5 of 8 field goals, 3 of 5 three-point field goals and all seven free throw attempts. In the two road wins, she averaged 17 points, 4.5 rebounds, two assists and she made 10 of 16 field goals (.625), 7 of 11 from long range (.636) and all seven free throw attempts.

Men's Basketball

In a seven point overtime loss at Mesa State, Lansdowne registered 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal. The next night in an 85-77 win at Western State, he posted 24 points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals. He leads the team in scoring and rebounds and has scored at least 18 points in eight straight games.
