Udall named RMAC/Baden Defensive Player of the Week

Junior center set career highs in points, rebounds

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Fort Lewis College men's basketball player Torrey Udall was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference/Baden Defensive Player of the Week, RMAC Assistant Commissioner Sarah Meier announced today.

Udall, a 6-foot-9 junior center from Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale, Colo., set career highs with 15 points and 12 rebounds and matched a career best with four field goals in FLC's 69-60 win over Northeastern State (Okla.) at last weekend's George B. Boedecker Classic.

A two-time member of the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll and a two-time recipient of the D2 Athletic Directors Association/WeatherPORT Academic Achievement Award, Udall also pulled down eight defensive caroms and blocked one shot against the RiverHawks.

He leads the Skyhawks in scoring at 11.8 points per game and ranks second in rebounding at 6.3 per game.

Fort Lewis concludes its pre-RMAC schedule with a pair of games at the Grand Canyon Thanksgiving Classic in Phoenix, Ariz., this week. The Skyhawks play Academy of Art (Calif.) (0-4) at 2:30 p.m. Friday and Grand Canyon (1-1) at 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
