Randy Stueve was named the Fort Lewis College Interim Head Men's Golf Coach in the spring of 2026.
Stueve is no stranger to the Skyhawks, as he previously served as a volunteer mental performance coach for both the men’s and women’s golf team's in the fall of 2025.
He comes to Fort Lewis with a wide-ranging athletic background: an accomplished high school baseball and football player with a State Championship in Ohio, Stueve chose to pursue triathlon in his 30’s. Over the next decade, Stueve rose through the amateur ranks and competed in the Ironman World Championships on three occasions. He eventually became a Level 1 Certified Coach with USA Triathlon. In his triathlon career, Stueve learned the importance of training, preparation, and attention to detail.
Following his triathlon career, Stueve turned his attention to golf and pursues it with a similar passion for continual improvement. In golf, he applies his training as a clinical mental health counselor to focus on the mental performance and strategic aspects of the game.
