Giulio Bregu embarked on his inaugural season with the Skyhawks in the spring of 2025.
A native of Borgo San Lorenzo, Italy, Bregu played for the Fortis Juventus fourth division before making his move to the United States in 2018 to play collegiately at Monroe University in The Bronx, New York. In his one season with the Mustangs, Bregu helped the team to a 12-2-2 overall record, an NJCAA Division I Northeast District Championship, and an appearance in the NJCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship Semifinals.
Bregu later took his talents to Illinois Central College, where he helped the Cougars amass a 15-3-1 overall record and an appearance in the Region 24 Championship match. He later capped his career with one season at Spring Hill College in 2023 before becoming a student assistant coach for the 2024 campaign.
Off the pitch, Bregu graduated with an associate’s degree in business administration from Illinois Central before attaining his bachelor’s degree in international business administration from Spring Hill. In addition, he is currently completing his UEFA C license as well as his Conmebol “B” license.
