Fort Lewis College Athletics

Angela Roberts is in her sixth year at Fort Lewis College and currently serves as Associate Athletic Director for Communications after being elevated to the role in May 2024. She joined the Skyhawks in 2021 as an Athletics Communications Assistant before being promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 2022. Prior to arriving in Durango, Roberts spent two years at Midland University as a Sports Information Assistant and also worked at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Roberts oversees athletic communications strategy, creative content, branding, event management, and championship operations for the Skyhawks. She played a key role in hosting multiple RMAC championship events, coordinating the department’s Hall of Fame and student-athlete awards ceremonies, and developing the department’s strategic communications style guide. She also led the redesign of the Whalen Gymnasium court and collaborated with the RMAC office on postseason championship branding. She has earned national recognition for her graphic design work and was a member of the CSC 30 under 30 class of 2023.

A native of Andover, Minnesota, Roberts earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing communications from Bemidji State University and her master’s degree from Midland University. She was a four-year softball student-athlete at Bemidji State, earning All-NSIC honors and later being named to the program’s All-Decade Team/
