Mission:

The Fort Lewis College Athletic Training Room offers accessible, high quality sports medicine health care to all FLC student-athletes, consultation with students, faculty, and staff while educating the athletic training student via clinical experience.

Fort Lewis College Skyhawk Athletic Training Camp:

The Fort Lewis College Athletic Training Education Program is excited to offer its 15th Athletic Training Camp for high school students. This camp will run from Friday-Sunday, July 22-24, 2011, on the Fort Lewis College campus.

Pre-Participation Forms:

    • Substance Abuse Form – To be completed by all student-athletes
    • Freshman/Transfer Student-Athlete Registration Packet (2011-12)

    • Prospective Student-Athlete Medical Questionnaire/Waiver
        • This form must be completed by any walk-on / tryout athlete PRIOR to participating in trying out for any varsity athletic team.

Visiting Teams:

    • Home Coverage: Home events will be covered by a BOC certified Athletic Trainer and assisted by Athletic Training students. Ambulance coverage and an orthopedic physician will be available at football games. A physician will be present or on-call at soccer games.
    • Athletic Training Room: The Athletic Training Room is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. It is also open 1½ to 2 hours prior to events and after events as needed. Contact the Athletic Training Room at (970) 247-7576 if special arrangements are necessary.
    • Emergencies: Physicians and an ambulance are on-site for football games. For all other events, these services are on-call and available.
    • Visiting Teams Are Provided With:
        • Water Coolers
        • Ice Chests
        • Ice/Bags
        • Cups
        • Biohazard Container
        • Game Towels (Shower towels will NOT be provided)
    • Visiting Teams Will Have Access To:
        • Electrical Stimulation
        • Ultrasound
        • Whirlpool
        • Hot Packs
             Note: If visiting teams are traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer, please send specific instructions for modality usage.
