DURANGO, Colo. – March 19, 2018 – Fort Lewis College head football coach
Joe Morris has promoted
Kohlton Tegeler to Defensive Line and Strength and Conditioning coach.
"Kohlton 'Tegs' is a very loyal coach that understands what it means to be a Skyhawk," said Morris. "Anytime you can bring in an alum you can bet that he will have passion for our program!"
A native of Victoria, Texas, Tegeler spent the 2017 season as a student assistant coach on Morris' staff. He spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as a defensive lineman for the Skyhawks, competing in 13 games and recording 40 tackles (16 solo), 4.0 tackles for a loss of 24 yards, and two sacks (17 yards). He was named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Honor Roll, and the FLC Student-Athlete of the Week on Oct. 6, 2015.
"I am very excited to be named the Defensive Line coach at my Alma Mater," said Tegeler. "It is truly an honor. I played here and now being able to continue coaching under Coach Morris is awesome. I am ready to bring an exciting and energetic coaching style to the field, and ready to learn and grow as a young coach here."
Tegeler came to Fort Lewis College from Blinn College (Texas), where he competed in football in 2013 and 2014.
A 2011 graduate of Victoria East High School, Tegeler graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2017 with a degree in Exercise Science.
