Women’s Soccer Head Coach Hall Resigns

DURANGO – February 7, 2018 – Fort Lewis College head women's soccer coach Jimmy Hall has resigned from his position, announced today by Director of Athletics Barney Hinkle.
 
"Jimmy has decided to resign his position as head women's soccer coach at Fort Lewis College," said Hinkle.  "His long-term commitment to Fort Lewis College as a student-athlete, assistant women's soccer coach and as the head women's soccer coach have been tremendous.  We wish Jimmy and his family much happiness and success in their future endeavors."
 
The 2015 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Coach of the Year, Hall held the position of head coach from 2014-17.  In four years at the helm, he guided the Skyhawks to a 28-33-12 (.466) overall record, and a 22-21-6 (.510) record in RMAC games. The Skyhawks qualified for the RMAC Championship Tournament all four years, including the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament in 2015.
 
Hall coached 35 RMAC All-Academic performers, 22 all-conference players, seven all-region performers and the 2015 RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year - Caitlyn Espinosa.
 
A 2004 graduate of Fort Lewis College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, Hall played for the Fort Lewis men's soccer team from 2000-03, winning Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships in 2000 and 2001 and qualifying for the NCAA Division II playoffs in 2001. 
 
He was a volunteer coach for the Fort Lewis men's soccer team from 2004-06. During that time, the Skyhawks won the 2005 NCAA Division II championship and finished second in the nation in 2006.   He was a part of the 2005 men's soccer team that was inducted into the Skyhawks Hall of Fame in 2016.  Hall served as the women's soccer assistant coach from 2011-13 before being named the head coach in 2014.
