COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — League coaches picked the Fort Lewis College golf team to finish eighth the
Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, RMAC Assistant Commissioner Eric Danner announced today.
Additionally, FLC's
Charlie Laudermilk, a six-foot senior from Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas, was named to the Preseason All-RMAC team.
Laudermilk has participated in the NCAA Division II West/Central SuperRegionals in all three of his seasons at Fort Lewis. As a sophomore in 2010-11, he helped the Skyhawks earn their first-ever team berth in the national championships, where they tied for fifth place.
He was named to the All-RMAC third team as a sophomore and junior and was named to last spring's RMAC All-Tournament Team for his fourth place finish as the league championships. He was also chosen as FLC's Most Valuable Player last spring.
Laudermilk averaged 76.08 strokes through 24 rounds in his junior campaign.
Colorado Mesa senior Brandon Bingaman was chosen as the RMAC Preseason Golfer of the Year.

The Skyhawks will play in four tournaments during the fall portion of their schedule, starting with the Grizzly Kick-Starter, hosted by Adams State University from September 7-8 at the Cattails Golf Club in Alamosa.
