LILBURN, Ga. — The Fort Lewis College women's basketball team moved one spot to No. 7 in the 11th
USA TODAY ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll of the season, released today by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The Skyhawks received 594 total points.
Fort Lewis (16-2 overall, 13-1 in the
Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) defeated Adams State 83-52 Saturday in its only game last week.
The Skyhawks host Western New Mexico (0-18, 0-15) Friday and New Mexico Highlands (10-9, 6-9) Saturday. Both games start at 5:30 p.m. in Whalen Gymnasium.
FLC will sport pink jerseys on Saturday to support the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Play 4Kay initiative.
Additionally, Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center is giving away free tickets to the first 100 fans to visit their showroom at 31 Parker Ave. in Bodo Park this week. The general admission tickets can be redeemed at either game this weekend.
