COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Fort Lewis College's Gavin Lyons was named to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's golf first team, RMAC Assistant Commissioner Eric Danner announced today.

Lyons, a senior from the Scottsdale Christian Academy in Scottsdale, Ariz., was co-medalist in the 2010-11 RMAC Men's Golf Championship the past two days at the Wigwam Club in Litchfield Park, Ariz. He shot 204 (-8) in three rounds on the par-72 course and turned in his three lowest rounds of the year: 69, 68 and 67.

In 24 rounds thus far in the 2010-11 campaign, Lyons has averaged 74.08 strokes per 18 holes.

He was previously chosen as the FLC golf team's co-Most Valuable Player at the 2010-11 Skyhawk Awards Banquet on April 7 and was named to the All-RMAC Tournament Team yesterday.

David Schroeder, a senior from Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, was named to the All-RMAC second team. He averaged 73.48 strokes per 18 holes during the 2010-11 season and finished 18th (216, +4) at the RMAC Championships. Like Lyons, Schroeder was previously chosen as the FLC golf team's co-Most Valuable Player at the 2010-11 Skyhawk Awards Banquet

Charlie Laudermilk, a sophomore from Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas, was named to the All-RMAC third team. He averaged 74.57 strokes per 18 holes during the 2010-11 season and finished tenth (213, +1) at the RMAC Championships.

The Skyhawks, currently ranked No. 2 in the Central Region behind UC-Colorado Springs, will play in the NCAA Division II Central/West SuperRegional on May 1-4 at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course in Albuquerque.
