COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Fort Lewis College women's basketball players Abby Jackson and Mary Rose Paiz were named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic first team and four of their teammates also received RMAC All-Academic accolades, Assistant Commissioner Eric Danner announced today.

Dana Schreibvogel earned second team honors. Three players — Stephanie Beeman, Alex Easterbrook and Jenna Santistevan — earned RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll distinction.

“We take great pride in our work in the classroom and these student-athletes are very deserving of the honor for all their dedication to academics,” said sixth-year FLC women's basketball head coach Mark Kellogg. “Abby, Mary Rose, Dana, Stephanie, Jenna and Alex have been able to truly balance the role of student-athlete.”

The Skyhawk coach said his team's cumulative grade point average during the fall term was 3.64. His team was the only school with two players on the All-Academic first team.
