Softball All-Academic Teams Announced

Six Skyhawks Named to All-Academic Teams

April 21, 2010. Durango,CO-   Six members of the Fort Lewis College softball team were recognized on the RMAC All-Academic teams that were announced today.  Players must maintain a 3.3 GPA and be either a starter or reserve in order to qualify for the RMAC Academic teams.

Second basemen Natalie Janes was named to the Second All-Academic team with a 3.74 GPA along side teammate Jordan Willis (3B) who is an Education major with a 3.65 GPA.   Other Skyhawks that were recognized with an honorable mention award was catcher Denae Benally (3.36) who is currently undecided on a major, shortstop Chelena Coulston (3.50) who is majoring in English, pitcher Kassie Haubert (3.54) who is an Exercise Science major, and pitcher Stephanie Janes(3.61) who is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. 

The Skyhawks will be wrapping up their home games for the 2010 season this weekend when they take on the Adams State Grizzlies.  The games will be at 12 and 2 on Saturday the 24th and at 11 and 1 on Sunday.
