The Women’s Basketball team dominated the All-RMAC conference teams that were announced this morning. The Skyhawks earned three out of the four top RMAC honors for the first time in the program’s history. Coach Mark Kellogg received the RMAC Coach of the Year/ West Division Coach of the Year for the third year in a row while seniors Allison Rosel and Audrey George brought in the other top honors.
Rosel was named RMAC Player of the Year, the second FLC women's basketball player to earn this honor (Lisa Rains) West Division Player of the Year, was selected to the All-RMAC first team, and was named to the All-RMAC West Division First Team for the third straight year.
George was selected as the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year as well as the RMAC West Division Defensive Player of the Year. She was named to the 2nd team All-RMAC West Division alongside junior point guard Abby Jackson. Senior Katie Mackey was also named to the first All-RMAC West Division team and senior Laura Haugen was selected on to the All-RMAC West Division third team, which makes her one of the few players in RMAC history to make a team all four years of her basketball career. This is also the second time in Fort Lewis history that all five starters have been named to the All-RMAC West Division teams as well as having the Coach of the Year, 2008-09 season being the first time The enire All-RMAC teams are listed below or you can click on the following link to view the RMAC page.
