Skyhawks To Play For National Title at 6pm MST, Live on ESPN 2
March 26, 2010.  St. Joseph, MO. -  Sixth seed Fort Lewis (35-3) will face No. 15 Emporia State (29-5) tonight at 6pm MST at the Civic Arena in St. Joseph, MO.

In quarterfinal action, Fort Lewis defeated No. 13 Seattle Pacific, 68-59 while Emporia State defeated No. 3 Michigan Tech 91-85. The Skyhawks then defeated No. 2 Franklin Pierce, 79-64 in the semifinal round, while ESU handed No. 1 Gannon their first loss of the season, 97-94 in overtime.

The Skyhawks are the 16th team in the last 25 years from the Central Region (previously North Central Region) to play in the NCAA Title game. The Skyhawks are also the first RMAC team to play in the NCAA Title game and the first RMAC team to record a 35 win season. They have also became the thrid team in NCAA Division II women's basketball history to have four seniors score over 1,000 points in their career.
