February 5, 2010. Indianapolis, IN. - The NCAA Division II Basketball Committee released the newest top ten regional rankings yesterday making this the second week with both the Fort Lewis Men's and Women's team staying in the top ten. Women's basketball remained in the #1 spot for the second week in a row with a overall record of 18-2 and a regional record of 17-2. With few changes on the women's side, three other RMAC schools along Fort Lewis kept their spots in the regional rankings. Adams St. remains closest to Fort Lewis coming in at the #3 spot while Colorado Mines stayed at the #8 spot and Colorado St.- Pueblo remains at the #10 spot. The other six school remaining come from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Below is the Women's Central Regional Ranking which will be released every Wednesday until March 3rd.

The Women's team travels to Grand Junction, CO to take on the Mesa State Mavericks tonight at 6:00pm and then continues on to Gunnison, CO to take on Western State College on Saturday at 6:00pm.
The Men's Basketball team dropped one spot from their first week ranking coming in at the #7 spot this week. With an overall record of 12-4, the Skyhawks are one of four RMAC teams in the top ten regional rankings. Mesa State (14-1) held on to the top spot while Metro State (12-3) remained in the #3 spot and joining the top ten this week was New Mexico Highlands (8-7) coming in at the #9 spot. The other six schools from the Central Region are also from the NSIC. The Central Region top ten teams are listed below and will also be released every Wednesday until March 3rd.
