Albuquerque, NM - March 17, 2009 -  The Skyhawk golf team placed 3rd overall and 1st within the RMAC in the Mustang Intercollegiate  Tournament.

Luke Tanner finished 4th in the tournament shooting a 72, 71, 69 and a total of 212 which put him 4 under par.

Matt Baum tied for 7th place shooting a 74, 75 and 72, with 221 during the tournament placed him 5 above par.

"With this being the first event of the year you could see the pre-season getters; however that only took about 5 to 9 holes to finally release. Our kids did really well in this tournament I am very pleased with the finish. I look forward to the rest of the season, it should be very exciting," said Coach Guy Begay in a post tournament phone interview early today.
