Kate Bayes recorded her first two starts of the weekend in a road split at Regis (L, 63-52) and at MSU Denver (W, 65-61 OT). She averaged 14 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while totaling seven steals and five assists. Bayes netted 7-of-20 from the floor (35.0 percent) and 14-of-18 from the charity stripe (77.8 percent).
On Saturday in an overtime win, she recorded 10 of her 14 points from the free throw line where she made 10-of-11. Bayes grabbed two rebounds and dished out five assists while grabbing a season high six steals.
One night earlier at Regis, she made 5-of-13 field goals and 4-of-7 free throws for 14 points. She was one rebound short of a double-double and added one assist and a steal.
On the season, Bayes has played in all 15 games and is the Skyhawks second leading scorer with 8.8 points per game. She has accounted for 35 steals, 24 assists, 67 rebounds and five blocked shots.
