Tim Hankinson - Academy Director and Head FLC Men’s Soccer Coach
Tim brings 30 years of collegiate, MLS, and international coaching experience to build on the winning soccer tradition at Fort Lewis College. He excelled in Major League Soccer (MLS) as Head Coach of the Colorado Rapids and Tampa Bay Mutiny. His ascent through the coaching ranks included successful stops at Alabama A&M, DePaul University, and Syracuse University. He also filled head coaching roles with the Nike Project-40 team and most recently the U-17 Guatemala National Team.
Gary Hamel - Academy Assistant Director and Assistant FLC Men's Soccer Coach
Gary is in his second year with the Academy and Fort Lewis College. He is the head of Durango Youth Soccer Association. At Oregon State University, Gary helped establish the men’s program as one of the country’s elite, while also filling the role as Camp Director. Gary provides coaching experience in youth, ODP, high school and collegiate levels.
Damian Clark - Academy Field Coach and FLC Women's Soccer Coach
Damian is in his first year with the Academy. This past fall he was named the Fort Lewis women's soccer coach after completing his first season as the interim head coach. He guided the Skyhawks to their second-straight RMAC Championship. Damian has played an intrical role in bringing the women's team in as part of the Academy's staff.
Kate Stahlin - Academy Field Coach and Assistant FLC Women's Soccer Coach
Kate, the assistant Fort Lewis women's soccer coach, is the Assistant Director of Coaching for the Durango Youth Soccer Association. She brings outstanding playing and coaching experience from her years as a player at Fort Lewis and her numerous years with DYSA.
Luc Sauders - Academy Field and Goalkeeper Coach
Luc is the Assistant Coach, Scout and Tactical Analyst at Club Brugge in the Belgium Premier Division, UEFA, and Champions League. He gained a vast amount of playing experience as the Belgium National Goalkeeper and in his long career at Club Brugge. Luc was the Assistant Coach at Colorado Rapids and Tampa Bay Mutiny in MLS.
Steve Trittschuh - Academy Field Coach
Steve brings international experience and world class playing skills. He played central defense for the US National Team in the 1990 World Cup in Italy. As a professional he played in MLS for Colorado Rapids and Tampa Bay Mutiny. He was the Assistant Coach for Colorado Rapids. Steve is the Coaching Director for Rush Soccer Club, Denver.
Oige Kennedy - Academy Goalkeeper Coach and Assistant FLC Men's Soccer Coach
This Academy veteran hails from the Republic of Ireland where he has been coaching youth teams for the past 9 years. Oige has coordinated youth camps for Manchester United Football Club. He is an Assistant Coach for the Fort Lewis Men’s program and a DYSA coordinator.
