Directions to Fort Lewis College

From Denver area:
From Hwy 285 South, turn right on Hwy 112 heading West to Del Norte. In Del Norte, turn right onto Hwy 160. Follow Hwy 160 West in to Durango. Hwy 160 becomes Hwy 160-550. When it splits, follow Hwy 550 to College Drive. Turn right onto College Drive and follow for 3/4 mile. Turn left onto 8th Avenue.  Proceed up the 8th Avenue hill to campus.

From Grand Junction area:
Hwy 50 South to Hwy 550 South to Durango. Hwy 550 becomes Main Avenue. Follow Main Avenue through downtown Durango to 8th Street. Turn left on 8th Street. When it dead-ends, turn left on 8th Avenue. Follow to top of the hill.

From Colorado Springs - Pueblo areas:
I-25 South to Hwy 160 West in to Durango. Hwy 160 becomes Hwy 160-550. When it splits, follow Hwy 550 to College Drive. Turn right onto College Drive and follow for 3/4 mile. Turn left onto 8th Avenue.  Proceed up the 8th Avenue hill to campus.

From Albuquerque, NM areas:
Hwy 550 North to Durango. Follow 550 North to College Drive. Turn right onto College Drive and follow for 3/4 mile. Turn left onto 8th Avenue.  Proceed up the 8th Avenue hill to campus.

By air:
Daily flights arrive at and depart from the Durango-La Plata County Airport. Fort Lewis College is located approximately 20 minutes away. When exiting the airport, follow Hwy 172 to Hwy 160 West. Hwy 160 becomes Hwy 160-550. When it splits, follow Hwy 550 to College Drive. Turn right onto College Drive and follow for 3/4 mile. Turn left onto 8th Avenue.  Proceed up the 8th Avenue hill to campus.

Campus Tours

Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m. 
Fort Lewis College student guides lead tours twice daily. Come see why our campus is unique with its amazing views, clean, safe surroundings and friendly environment. The tour will lead you through our academic facilities, athletics facilities, exhibition and gallery spaces and on-campus residence halls. The guide will share personal experiences as a Fort Lewis student and will help you understand why Fort Lewis College has been ranked as one of the “Best in the West” by Princeton Review. The campus tour typically lasts about one and a half hours. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. We also invite you to have lunch with our students in the campus dining hall.
