Durango, CO – The Skyhawk Booster Club, the fundraising arm of the Skyhawks athletic program, has surpassed the 700-donor mark for the first time in the history of the program. This year's 722 members almost doubled the membership from 2008-09, which saw 384 members. The booster club saw an increase of 88% from 2008-09 to 2009-10.

Durango, Colorado– The Fort Lewis women’s basketball team was honored Tuesday when the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its winners for the 2009-10 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. With a team grade point average of 3.428, the Skyhawks ranked 23rd in NCAA Division II, tying their highest honor received by the WBCA. The award is handed out to teams throughout the nation that carry the highest GPA for the entire season, based on the nomination submitted by WBCA-member head coaches.
